Will this void my warranty or damage my computer?No. Our tools are non-invasive and designed for system maintenance and recovery. They don’t make permanent changes unless you choose to. As with any advanced tool, use responsibly and follow instructions.

Will I get updates for the preloaded software?Many of the tools on our USB drives work both offline and online. Several of them include lifetime updates directly from the developers, while others are standalone utilities that don’t require updates to function properly. For updated versions of our USB drives or to request the latest tools, check your purchase confirmation email or contact us directly—we're happy to help keep your drive up to date.

Do I need an internet connection to use the software?Many tools work completely offline, but some features (like software updates) may require an internet connection.

Are your USB drives reusable?Yes! You can use the USB like a normal flash drive—store files, run portable apps, or even reformat it. Just make sure to back up any important software files first if you plan to erase or modify the drive.

Is the preloaded software safe?Absolutely. We vet and verify all tools before shipping, and we never include bloatware, malware, or adware. However, some antivirus programs may flag system tools as false positives—this is normal for recovery and password utilities.

How do I boot from the USB drive?Plug the drive into your computer. Restart the computer. Press the boot menu key during startup (commonly F12, F2, DEL, ESC, or F10—varies by manufacturer). Select the USB drive from the list. Tip: Look up your computer’s specific boot menu key if unsure.

I booted to the USB but the software isn’t working.Make sure your system meets any requirements listed. Check if Secure Boot is disabled in BIOS. Some systems may need Legacy Boot enabled. If issues persist, contact us for support.

I don’t see the USB drive listed in the boot menu. What should I do?Replug the USB drive into a different port. Enable “Legacy Boot” or “CSM” in the BIOS if it’s disabled. Disable “Secure Boot” in UEFI settings. Make sure the drive is inserted before powering on the system.

Can I add or remove files on the USB?If you purchased a USB drive with an operating system, it is not recommended to add or remove files. This may cause issues when you attempt to boot from the drive. If you purchased a USB drive with program/s, you may add or remove files after installing all of the necessary programs to your computer.

The USB drive isn’t recognized by my computer.Try a different USB port. Use a USB 2.0 port if available (some older tools have better compatibility). Restart the computer with the USB plugged in. On Mac systems, preloaded software may not be supported unless otherwise noted.

How do I access the BIOS/UEFI?Restart your PC and press the BIOS key (commonly DEL, F2, or ESC) right after turning it on. Once inside, look for boot priority settings or security features like Secure Boot that might need adjusting.

How long does shipping take?Most orders ship within 1 business day. Delivery typically takes 3–5 business days within the U.S., depending on your location and shipping method chosen at checkout.

Can I change or cancel my order?If your order hasn’t shipped yet, contact us as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to accommodate changes or cancellations. Once shipped, we can no longer cancel the order.

My order hasn’t arrived. What should I do?Check your tracking number and give it a few extra business days. If it’s still missing, reach out via the platform you purchased from or email us at support@ezdrivesupply.com.
